Short bio:

Alice Guerra has earned a PhD in Law and Economics in December 2015 from the Universities of Bologna, Hamburg and Rotterdam. She has been research fellow at the University of Bologna and she is currently research fellow at Copenhagen Business School, where she is working on a cross-cultural experimental analysis on tax compliance. Alice's research interests span the fields of Experimental and Behavioural Law and Economics, the Economic Analysis of Law, Empirical Legal Studies, Public Choice and Political Economy.

Short bio:

Ana was a student in the European Doctorate in Law and Economics program from October 2011 until March 2015. She obtained her LL.B. in 2005 from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, and the LL.M. degree in 2008 from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, USA. Before pursuing her Ph.D. studies, from 2005 to 2008, she worked as an advisor in the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia. In 2006 she was seconded by the Ministry to the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, Brussels as a trainee. From 2009 to 2010 Ana was a university teaching assistant at the State University of Novi Pazar, Serbia. Finally, from 2010 to 2011 she was the director of the Centre for Quality Assurance at the University of Belgrade, Serbia and after the finalisation of the EDLE programme she returned to this position

Short bio:

Jarosław completed his PhD (summa cum laude) in June 2015. He is currently employed as an assistant professor at Leiden University (Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs). Prior to EDLE, he obtained a master degree in economics from the Warsaw School of Economics (2010) and a master degree in Law & Economics jointly from the University of Hamburg and the Warsaw School of Economics (with distinction, 2011). In pursuing his degree in economics he also paid a study visit to the University of Manchester (2009-2010). In parallel to his master studies, he was working as a research assistant at a leading Polish think-tank Forum Obywatelskiego Rozwoju (2007-2010). Jaroslaw’s resaerch interests focus on institutional economics, fiscal policy, international organizations and empirical legal studies. He has authored numerous press articles, policy briefs, reports on the state of Polish institutions.

Sergio completed his PhD (magna cum laude) in the European Doctorate in Law and Economics in 2015. He holds a Bachelor in Law from the University of São Paulo and a Bachelor in Economics from the Pontifical University of São Paulo, as well as a Master in Law and a Master in Economics, both from the University of Munich. His paper “Retaliation, Remedies, and Contracts” won the Göran Skogh award for the best paper by a young scholar from the European Association of Law and Economics in 2015. He is currently a senior research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy in Munich.

In 2015, Elena Reznichenko completed her PhD (summa cum laude) in the European Doctorate in Law and Economics programme. Elena also holds two bachelor's degrees in law and psychology from Haifa University, and two master's degrees in law: one is from Haifa University, and the other is a European Master in Law and Economics (EMLE, cum laude) from Hamburg University, University of Gent, and Vienna University. She is also the winner of the Erasmus Mundus scholarship. During her studies in Israel, Elena worked as a research assistant and then a teaching assistant at Haifa University Law School. Before starting the EMLE, Elena also worked as a criminal prosecutor at the District Attorney's Office in Israel.

She did an internship with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the Hague and United and worked among others as a legal assistant for a Dutch law firm.
