The EDLE was admitted to the newly established "Graduate School Scholarship Programme" by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The DAAD provides four scholarships for students from third world countries and emerging nations. The scholarships cover a monthly payment of 1,000 EUR, travel expenses, an insurance package and a yearly research allowance of 460 EUR over a three-year period. The first two stipends will be granted in 2013. The application was conducted under the direction of the Hamburg programme director Patrick C. Leyens. Inquiries regarding the stipends may be directed to Frauke Schmidt.
